All Blacks 7s star, Vilimoni Koroi has been omitted from the match day squad and is replaced by rookie Scott Gregory at fullback.
Other top players that have been included for the Highlanders are Aaron Smith, Ash Dixon, Shannon Frizell and Mitch Hunt.
The Blues will face the Highlanders at 7.05pm Saturday while the Crusaders will take on the Chiefs at 3.35pm Sunday.
