Police are questioning 20-year-old Aman Nambiar regarding another matter where he allegedly obtained money after threatening to release nude photos of another man on social media.
The tertiary student was granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court for a similar case yesterday but was arrested outside the court and is currently being questioned at the Totogo Police Station.
Nambiar is charged with two counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception for the first matter which is before the court.
Nambiar allegedly created a fake profile as a woman and looked for potential victims online.
It is alleged after carefully identifying his potential victims, he would send a friend request, and after gaining the victim's trust would send sexual videos with a false hope of offering sexual favours.
The man would then allegedly ask for sexually explicit photos from the victim.
Once received, he would allegedly solicit $400 in exchange for the photos not to be posted on social media.
Police say the alleged incidents occurred in March this year.
