13-year-old Ifereimi Nagera who lives in Vavalagi Road, Nakasi says he is happy and blessed that there is now a park located in Nakasi where children can spend their leisure time with their friends.
While opening the park, Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa has reminded the children that they need to take care of the park as if it were their own.
Nalumisa says this park becomes a space for children to enjoy with their friends.
Rotary Club Suva has funded the construction of the park.
Club representative, Karl Jamnadas has also reminded parents of to ensure the safety of the children and they are advised to bring their children to play at the park.
Lalu Park is the first park to be opened in the Nasinu and Nausori area.
