The Naitasiri Rugby Union says they do not condone any form of abuse or violence against match officials from any of their players.
This is after their under-19 player punched a referee on Saturday.
In a statement they say what their Under 19 player did in their match against Tailevu was totally uncalled for and they have apologized to the Fiji Rugby Union, the Referees Association, the referee and his family and the whole rugby fraternity in Fiji.
Secretary Seremaia Naureue says due to the incident they have taken measures and are trying to implement them to totally avoid this from happening again.
Naureure says they have formed a disciplinary committee to enforce and ensure that the Rules and Regulations of the Fiji Rugby Union is strictly followed and is adhered to by all concerned stakeholders and also the associated disciplinary consequences if they are not followed.
