Former All Blacks winger Waisake Naholo has returned to New Zealand rugby, signing with Canterbury for the 2021 National Provincial Championship.
A veteran of 27 tests with the All Blacks, Naholo departed New Zealand after the 2019 season to join London Irish in the English Premiership.
But Naholo's time in the UK hardly went to plan, playing only four times on London Irish's return to England's top tier.
As a result, the 2015 Rugby World Cup winner was released along with eight of his teammates in June, freeing him to return to New Zealand.
