Lavenia Naivalu from Nacula Village in Yasawa says she is at the COP 28 talks in Dubai for discussions on climate finance because back at home, there is so much noise on climate finance, but the children and people do not know anything about it.

She says she left home to amplify the voices of her people at the COP Level.

Naivalu says she was fortunate to represent the Pacific indigenous community.

She says our corals are bleaching and water sources are drying.

Naivalu says she would hear of her grandfather sit along the coastline and fishing for a proper meal, now her children will walk for miles to find a decent meal.

She attributes all these factors to climate change.

Naivalu questioned the various stakeholders on climate justice, and what the stakeholders are doing about it.

She asks if they could be included in the decision-making processes because they are the victims and fighters of climate change.
