NFP Leader says millions of dollars are going to FijiFirst through parliament funds allocation
National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad and Acting Minister for Economy Faiyaz Koya.

National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad says in 2015, the FijiFirst changed the formula for how political parties are funded in parliament and as a result millions of dollars of taxpayers money went into FijiFirst's bank account and small parties like the NFP are starved of money while Acting Minister for Economy, Faiyaz Koya says Prasad forgets the FijiFirst has a larger number of parliamentarians and that is why they receive more funds.

While contributing on the debate on the Review of the Department of Legislature Annual Report 2014-2015, Prasad says the new formula was done to weaken the opposition and deny it public funds.

The NFP Leader says since 2015, the NFP has only received $45,000 per annum which is to pay their staff based on $15,000 per MP.

He adds the NFP does not even have its own office in parliament.

Koya says Prasad is just taking a swipe at the FijiFirst.
