More than 130,000 food packs have been distributed to people affected by Tropical Cyclones Yasa and Ana in the four divisions so far.

While speaking during the handover ceremony of four portable sawmills by the Australian Government at the NDMO Warehouse in Walu Bay, Minister for National Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu says the NDMO has also provided 30,000 non-food items such as tents, tool kits, hygiene kits and water tanks to the cyclone-affected people.

He also says that they have assessed more than 160,000 Fijians after cyclones Yasa and Ana.

Meanwhile, the portable sawmills will help convert fallen trees into building material for affected communities.

Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes says they are delighted to help Fiji in a small way in responding to the two cyclones.
