Miss Pacific Islands Pageant Director Ana Tuiketei emphasises that as part of the programme, each contestant will have a one-to-one session with a counsellor.
She adds that there are policies in place to address anti-bullying and safeguarding, and that contestants can access an internal grievance process if needed.
Tuiketei stresses that education and awareness have always been ongoing to safeguard the contestants, highlighting that law enforcement agencies continue to address violence against women.

She also highlights that young women are empowered through knowledge of available support systems and coping mechanisms, which will strengthen their advocacy.
Tuiketei has reassured that there will be no blackout period for the contestants, as every contestant has the right to access information.
She adds that clear guidelines will be provided to all contestants.
The 2025 Miss Fiji pageant will be held from next Wednesday to Friday at the Suva Civic Centre.
