Minister for Health, Doctor Atonio Lalabalavu says he is aware of the death of a man who died from injuries sustained when he fell off a Ministry of Health boat and was hit by the boat’s propeller in Vunisea, Kadavu.
It is alleged the fibreglass boat which belongs to the Ministry was taken for a test by a man that does not work for the Ministry and he was accompanied by the deceased that fell overboard during the test run.
Dr Lalabalavu says they are investigating this incident.
Police says investigators have completed their investigations in Kadavu, and are compiling the investigating file which will be forwarded to the ODPP.
