Two men who allegedly assaulted another man with a broken beer bottle and an iron rod appeared before High Court Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza today.
It is alleged that 21-year-old Tomasi Covu assaulted a man with a broken beer bottle while 19-year-old Mohammed Mufez Ali struck the same man with an iron rod.
The alleged incidents happened on 18th May last year in Nakasi during an argument.
Covu is charged with a count of Act with Intent to Cause Grievous Harm.
Ali is charged with one count of Common Assault.
Their trial will be from 31st August till 4th September.
The pre-trial conference will be on the 3rd of next month.
