Fiji, Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia and Solomon Islands will take part in a Melanesian Games Basketball Competition next week.
The games are being used as qualifiers for the 2023 Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands next year.
Teams that win in the Men’s and Women’s competitions automatically qualify, but if they lose then they will have to hope they are one of the two wild cards from the Melanesian, Micronesian, and Polynesian regions that will be announced by the International Basketball Federation.
The Melanesian Games will be held at the Vodafone Arena from next Wednesday to Saturday.
