France star and Paris St-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe once again showed why he is regarded as one of the best football players in the world after scoring the winning goal for his PSG side to help beat Rennes 1-0 in the French Cup Semi final.

Mbappe scored the lone goal of the match in the 40th minute of the game.

The win has seen PSG book a cup final showdown with Lyon this weekend.

It has also given PSG the chance to add to their 14 French Cup titles, having last won it in 2020-21, and also keeps them in the hunt for a potential treble of trophies, along with Ligue 1 and the Champions League, where they face Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Mbappe is playing his final season for the club after agreeing to join Spanish giants Real Madrid later this year.
