Defending champion, Army Women are through to the semi-finals of the 47th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after thrashing Middle Women Steelers 41-5 in the first quarter-final this morning.
Army is the favourite in the women's category with most of their players from the Fijiana 7s team.
Striders, Seahawks 1 and Seahawks 2 have also secured their place in the semi-finals.
Striders defeated Police 17-7, Seahawks 1 thrashed Tagimoucia 38-7 and Seahawks 2 thumped Fire 19-0.
The men’s second elimination round will start with Fiji 1 taking on Lavena Reds at 9.20 this morning.
Meanwhile, the men’s cup quarterfinals will start at 2.15pm today, the semifinals will begin at 5.25 this afternoon and the final will be held at 7.35 tonight.
