Another heartwarming outreach from the Mana Island Resort as they donated $5,000 to the Fiji Cancer Society and another $5,000 to WOWS Kid Fiji for survivors of cancer in the country.
Chief Operations Officer for Mana Vuvale Initiative, Hiroshi Matsumoto, says apart from the monetary contribution they made, their main objective is to bring cancer survivors to the resort and make them experience the beauty of nature, like the ocean and other outdoor fun activities the resort has.
Matsumoto says most kids with cancer have not experienced the feeling of swimming in the ocean, and these acts of kindness help put a smile on their faces.
He says every dollar his staff members give helps facilitate the medical bills for cancer patients.
Matsumoto thanked the Fiji Cancer Society and WOWS Kids Fiji for creating awareness with them during this collaboration.
