A man in his 20’s who allegedly attempted to murder his 9 month old baby has been remanded in custody.
Police say on the 3rd of September following a heated argument with his wife at their home in Nadi, the man allegedly forcefully took their 9 month old baby boy and drove towards Namotomoto Bridge.
He is alleged to have intentionally driven his vehicle into the river, where bystanders managed to save them both.
Fortunately, the baby did not sustain serious injuries and was treated at Nadi Hospital.
The case will be called next Wednesday in the Lautoka High Court.
