A 35-year-old man who was allegedly stabbed by an unknown person along the roadside in Saweni, Lautoka on Thursday has passed away.
Police say the man who was from Saweni was standing along the roadside in Saweni at around 8.30pm when a passing car stopped, an unknown person got off, stabbed him with a knife and got away in the vehicle.
He was rushed to Lautoka Hospital and was admitted.
The man passed away this morning.
Police say they will wait for the post-mortem exam result before they classify the death.
