A man in his 20s has died following an explosion in Wainibokasi, Nausori yesterday afternoon.
He sustained serious injuries when an empty diving gas tank exploded.
Police say a co-worker was using a grinder to cut the empty tank when it exploded, whereby pieces of the gas tank hit the man causing his death.
They say the co-worker is admitted to the CWM Hospital.
Investigations continue.
