A 34-year-old-man has been found guilty of 2 counts of attempted murder of his 2 sons and one count of arson.
Pranil Singh of Nadawa committed the offences on 5th June, 2020.
The two children were aged 10 years and 1-year-9 months at the time.
The eldest son gave evidence in the trial.
While delivering the judgement, Justice Daniel Goundar says that he does not accept Singh’s account that the fire started as an accident.
It was also heard in court that the two children and Singh were rescued by neighbours after the eldest son managed to escape from Singh and called for help.
The matter will be called on June 15th for sentencing.
