Police are investigating the death of a 49-year-old man from Toko in Tavua in a road accident on Wednesday night.
He was driving a vehicle along Tavua and allegedly lost control causing it to tumble and land in a ditch.
According to Police, the man was returning from a funeral in Lautoka and was found to be heavily intoxicated when the incident occurred. The road death toll currently stands at 14 compared to 27 for the same period last year.
