A 25-year-old man who was allegedly assaulted yesterday morning while returning from a nightclub along Carnavon Street in Suva has passed away at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.
Police say he fell over the railings and hit the cement surface and was rushed to CWM Hospital by his relatives, where he was admitted until he passed away yesterday afternoon.
They say a 19-year-old man is in police custody for assaulting the man resulting in his death.
Investigations continue.
