A man has been charged for the violent robbery case at a private villa in Rakiraki last Saturday.
He is facing burglary, theft, serious assault and resisting arrest charges.
Police say the man allegedly stole a vehicle, drove it to the scene, entered the villa and stole cash and assorted items from two foreign nationals.
Both victims managed to escape and alerted Police.
Police officers sustained injuries while trying to arrest the man.
The man has been granted bail and will reappear in court on 21st January next year.
