The man who allegedly murdered a woman in her Tomuka, Lautoka home on Monday has been charged and will be produced in the Lautoka Magistrates Court today.
He has been charged with one count of murder, one count of arson and two counts of criminal intimidation.
The suspect allegedly locked the woman inside her bedroom before setting the double storey house on fire and killed her two dogs as well.
Police had earlier said the man attacked the woman with a cane knife.
He had handed himself over to the Nadi Police Station after the incident.
