A man in his 50s is believed to have drowned whilst diving for fresh water mussels yesterday afternoon.
Police say the alleged incident occurred in the Baulevu River, near the Wainisasa Settlement.
The alarm was raised by family members who were also diving near to where the victim had disappeared.
Search efforts will continue today.
