The 27-year old man alleged to have raped his 11-year old niece on the 7th of this month in Samabula has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.
He has been charged with 3 counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
The case has been transferred to the Suva High Court and will be called on the 29th of this month.
Police say the man had asked the girl to massage his stomach in his house where he allegedly committed the offence several times.
The matter was reported by the victim's mother.
