Suva lawyer, Barbara Malimali has been appointed as the Interim Chair of the Electoral Commission while Reginald Jokhan has been appointed as a Commission member.
This has been confirmed by the Prime Minister and Chair of the Constitution Offices Commission Prime Minister.
This means the Electoral Commission still does not have a quorum to decide on the two vacant FijiFirst seats in Parliament.
