Eels star Maika Sivo has been left devastated by the sudden death of his 13-year-old brother in Fiji.
Luva Sivo died last week after an infection.
Sivo is still in Sydney after recent knee surgery and is unlikely to be able to fly home to Fiji for the funeral due to COVID restrictions.
A source close to the star winger said Maika is shattered.
The Eels wore black armbands as a mark of respect in the game against Penrith last weekend.
The Eels will face the Knights at 6.05 this Sunday.
