The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji is weighing their options on which steps they should take regarding the vessel that was burnt down at the Suva Harbour last week.
This has been confirmed to fijivillage News this morning by the Chief Executive Officer for the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji Joeli Cawaki who says they have discussed options with the vessel owner.
Cawaki says the options include scrapping the vessel, drowning the vessel, or rebuilding the boat, and he adds that the probability of them scrapping the vessel is high.
When questioned about the cause of the fire, Cawaki says they are still trying to ascertain the cause.
