Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James led a 21-point fourth-quarter comeback to stun the Los Angeles Clippers pulling out a 116-112 win in a thrilling fashion yesterday.
In the biggest comeback of his 21-season career, James posted 19 points in that fourth quarter, including five 3-pointers and four assists.
He personally outscored the Clippers 19-16 with 8 assists causing a blowout.
James kept making shots and the Clippers slowed down just enough on offense to open the door for the Lakers.
In a post-match interview, James says they kept executing and kept reminding his teammates that the game is not ever over until it's double zeroes.
He says they just kept fighting, kept getting defensive stops and made some shots.
The Clippers, playing without All-Star Paul George, took a 98-77 lead to open the scoring in the fourth, then proceeded to slip horrendously on defence.
The team didn't seem to really mind giving up easy matchups to James, repeatedly soft-switching and getting punished for it.
In other NBA matches yesterday, the Mavericks beat the Raptors 136-125, the Pacers beat the Pelicans 123-114, the Bulls beat the Cavaliers 132-123, the Timberwolves overcame the Grizzlies 110-101 and the Nuggets beat the Kings 117-96.
