A resident of Korovou Town says she can see that villages are doing a good job in keeping children locked down in their bubbles.

Lavenia Kaci lives and works at Tailevu Hotel in Korovou Town.

She says normally children would accompany their parents to the market to sell vegetables and other produce but since the confirmation of cases in Korovou, the situation has changed.

Kaci says because farmers from Wainibuka and other nearby farms still need to earn a living, the Korovou Market can still look busy on certain days with all the farmers there.

She adds most of the villages along Wainibuka are on lockdown and from what she has been told only certain people are allowed to leave the village to sell their crops and vegetables to reduce the risk.

Kaci adds essential businesses are open in Korovou Town and Police have been doing a good job in making announcements and monitoring that people are following the protocols.

She says she has seen majority of the people following the protocols around Korovou.

Kaci adds it is currently busy for them at Tailevu Hotel because they have staff from the Health Ministry and drivers for different companies occupying the rooms.

There were two more cases confirmed for the Korovou cluster yesterday.
