Kiwi artist finds global fame after song's appearance on Netflix show Lucifer
Queenstown's Anderson Rocio has found global fame with her song Paradise, which features in popular Netflix show Lucifer.

A Kiwi artist has found fame with a song she wrote, performed and recorded in less than a day in her bedroom.

Stuff.Co reports that Anderson Rocio is becoming known around the world after her song Paradise was featured in a pivotal scene in season five of the popular Netflix series Lucifier.

She says the last five weeks has been a bit crazy, it went from a few thousand people who have listened to her catalogue over the last three years to this week, where she had over a million streams on Spotify alone and numbers keep climbing.

Rocio wrote the song for her LA-based sync agency, Think Music, in September last year. It asked for a “happy, sad song” originally for a Google search advertisement and wanted it “super quick”.
