The former Permanent Secretary for iTaukei Affairs Naipote Katonitabua is Fiji's newly appointed Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
Katonitabua also recently served as the Director of the Centre for Appropriate Development in Nadave.
He has been having discussions with Fiji Police Force Director for International Relation SSP Ulaiasi Ravula.
Katonitabua was briefed on the Fiji Police UN Peacekeeping efforts in Africa and intentions for further deployment in the near future.
Discussions also focused on the expected increased labour movement between Fiji and UAE.
Katonitabua will soon leave to take up his new posting.
