Brigadier General Jone Kalouniwai is the new Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has been reappointed as the Police Commissioner while Commander Francis Kean has been reappointed as the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service.
In accordance with the Fijian Constitution, President Jioji Konrote, on the advice of the Constitutional Offices Commission, has made the appointments after an exhaustive process of open merit recruitment.
Meanwhile, Jeanette Emberson has been appointed as the Secretary-General to Parliament.
All the appointments will be for a term of five years.
