Legendary jazz musician Tom Mawi has this afternoon received the inaugural annual George Fiji Veikoso lifetime achievement award at the Homecoming Festival in Nadi.
While receiving his award, Mawi says he remembers Veikoso as a young boy who stayed with them in Nausori.
Mawi also thanked the organisers, especially Isireli Vulaca, for the hard work put in.
He also thanked Veikoso for all this, saying that without Fiji, he would not be here today to receive this.
Mawi also thanked Veikoso for all the good memories.
