Cabinet has agreed to amend the issuance of official passports for senior categories of officials for official purposes and for the duration of their appointments.
They say the official passport is one of the four categories of passports issued by the Fiji Immigration Department and is limited only to disciplined forces travelling on peacekeeping duties.
The other three categories include the ordinary passport, diplomatic passport, and emergency passport. The amendments to the Passport Act will be brought back to the Cabinet for consideration.
