An investigation is underway regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of a remand prisoner in Lautoka.
Police say the victim who was in remand yesterday morning at the Natabua Corrections Centre said he was not feeling well and was taken to the Lautoka Hospital.
They say upon arrival at the hospital he was pronounced dead by health officials.
Police say a post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
Investigations continue.
