Fiji Shadow got off to an impressive start at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s beating Moala Vonokula 39-0 in their first pool game at the ANZ Stadium this morning.
The team scored five tries through Kitione Taliga, Asaeli Tuivuaka and Napolioni Bolaca with Jiuta Wainiqolo getting a double.
Fiji Shadow is laced with experienced players like Josua Vakurunabili, Kalione Nasoko and Jerry Tuwai and Meli Derenalagi who have been on a break recovering from their injuries.
In other results of the first round of pool matches, Raiwasa Taveuni beat Vaturu Babas 12-7, Ratu Filise defeated Holy Cross 26-7, Nawaka beat Ikavuka Rugby 12-10 while Tabadamu defeated the Lami Cavaliers 31-0.
Tabadamu is the defending champion of the Marist 7s.
