Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka confirms that he is acting on recommendations from the Commission of Inquiry report, and one deals with the Chief Justice Salesi Temo.

The COI report into the appointment of Barbara Malimali as FICAC Commissioner included allegations against the Chief Justice in the way issues relating to Malimali’s appointment was handled.

Chief Justice Temo is also the Chair of the Judicial Services Commission that recommended the appointment of Malimali as FICAC Commissioner.

Former Deputy Commissioner of FICAC, Francis Puleiwai resigned after meeting the JSC on the day that Puleiwai took Malimali in for questioning at the FICAC office, which was also the first day that Malimali officially started as FICAC Commissioner.

When asked today by fijivillage News, Rabuka confirms he is still acting on the COI report, and this will continue.
