Former Kenyan Rugby 7s Strength and Conditioning coach Ian Gibbons is the new Fiji Airways Men's National 7s Strength and Conditioning coach.
Fiji Rugby Union Interim Chair Peter Mazey says Gibbons comes into the fold with an impeccable resume' as a high-performance coach specialising in rugby 7s and 15s.
He says Gibbons was the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Saracens Rugby Club, the US Men's soccer team, the Seattle Seawolves and the Japan Rugby Union.
Mazey says he will work closely with Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Head of Athletic Performance Naca Cawanibuka, who comes in as a consultant.
He adds they have received positive feedback from the Fiji Airways Fijian side about the impact Gibbons has delivered since joining the team before the Vancouver 7s tournament.
