A house fire in Makoi in Nasinu has claimed the life of a 75-year-old man.
Police confirm that the victim was alone at home when the incident occurred around 12 noon yesterday.
They say the victim was trapped inside the house when the house was destroyed by the fire.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, as joint investigations between the Police and the National Fire Authority continue.
