The 2024 Miss Hibiscus contestants were hosted to lunch by Zam Zam Restaurant today in Samabula as part of their day 2 community tour.
The 9 contestants enjoyed the variety of food prepared and served by the restaurant.
During an interview with fijivillage News, restaurant owner Rashida Dean says they are so fortunate to have hosted these contestants and they were excited to get this opportunity.
Dean says this is something new for the restaurant and having the contestants over really helped in the exposure of the company.
She says this is the second time that the restaurant has hosted people like the queen contestants as the first was world-renowned travel and food vlogger, YouTube personality and television host Mark Weins who visited her restaurant during his visit to Fiji last year.
Dean acknowledged Creative Director Miss Hibiscus Festival Andhy Blake for organising this visit by the contestants to the restaurant.
Day 2 of the Hibiscus Festival is currently underway at the Suva Foreshore.
Tonight will be the Hindi Night which will be hosted by the Navtarang and Radio Sargam team from 6pm to 8pm.
The Yuva band will perform from 8pm to 10pm tonight on the main stage.
