A heavy rain warning is in place for Fiji.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the country.
They say showers are expected to increase to rain with thunderstorms and become frequent and heavy from later today.
They add persistent heavy rain can cause flooding in low lying and flood-prone areas.
