Swire Shipping Fijian Drua lock Mesake Vocevoce says he grew up idolising the Crusaders, with Scott Barrett being his favourite, and to play against him and win was the biggest moment of his rugby career.
Vocevoce says to play opposite Barrett in the locks was amazing, he took a selfie with the All Blacks lock after the game.
He says for the new Shop n Save Super Rugby Pacific season he is not only focusing on the physicality, but also on the spirituality and keeping a positive mindset.
The 21-year-old says he is also working on ironing out the mistakes he made last year to become a better player this season.
His advice to children wanting to pursue rugby as a career is to surround themselves with the right people, whether it be at home, the village or the community.
The Drua host the Brumbies at the HFC Bank Stadium Suva on February 15th.
