Govt is only run by two people and they hardly listen to good advice – Parmesh Chand
People's Alliance candidate and former Permanent Secretary for Public Service Commission and the Prime Minister’s Office, Parmesh Chand

People's Alliance candidate and former Permanent Secretary for Public Service Commission and the Prime Minister’s Office, Parmesh Chand says people should understand that this Government is only run by two people – Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, and they hardly listen to good advice.

While speaking during a party rally in Ba last night, Chand says he was a victim of that as well where he provided so much good advice but they would not take it and to the extent that they would try and push you out because they want ‘io saka’ or ‘yes man’ people.

He says FijiFirst candidates, Parveen Bala, Viam Pillay and Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum were also in Ba last week and had asked where Chand was in the last 4 or 5 years.

He says they also said that the Bainimarama Government gave him a job however he says the Bainimarama Government did not give him a job because he was in the public service before his Government.

He says he heard a recording where his name was said 15 times.

Chand says he has worked for former Prime Ministers, Laisenia Qarase, Sitiveni Rabuka and even worked for Mahendra Chaudhry.

He also says he was one of the top two Permanent Secretaries in the Qarase Government so he does not know what they are talking about.

Chand adds in the past 4 or 5 years, he was farming and constructing his building and being a part of the community in Ba.
