Electoral Commissioner of Papua New Guinea Simon Sinai has recommended to the Governor General an extension of the return of writs from 29th July to 12th August.
Sinai says the extension will allow for counting to be concluded and results to be declared.
The Governor General has accepted this extension to return of the writ to the proposed date, until 4pm.
