Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Ben Gollings has acknowledged the effort made by the players in reaching the final of the Hong Kong 7s and being consistent throughout the tournament.

He says it is bitterly disappointing that they lost, but at the end of the day, they made a final, and they have been consistent.

Gollings says 30 seconds of rugby was the difference in the end but credit to the boys as it was a tough year.

He adds they stuck at it, the consistency and being in another final is fantastic.

Australia ended Fiji’s winning streak at the Hong Kong 7s as they beat Fiji 20-17 in the final last night.

The next World 7s Series tournament is the Dubai 7s which will be on the 2nd and 3rd of next month.
