It was a comfortable win for the second-ranked team as they were ruthless in attack.
Germany led 2-nil at halftime.
They will now face Colombia in their second group match and Morocco to face South Korea.
In other matches, Brazil won 4-nil against Panama while Italy edged Argentina 1-nil.
