Gas prices will go down from Monday.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has announced that a 4.5kg cylinder will drop by 8 cents and now cost $16.63, while the 12kg cylinder will be reduced by 21 cents and cost $44.35.

Bulk Gas goes down to $3.42 and Autogas reduces to $2.28.

FCCC says the LPG price in Fiji is impacted by the movement in Saudi Aramco Butane Contract Price (Saudi CP), international freight rates and the foreign exchange rate.

They say a reason for the decrease in price for all LPG products in August in the Fijian market is due to the favourable movement in July 2022 Butane Contract Price (CP), unfavourable movement in international freight rates while the US dollar strengthened against the Fijian dollar.
