The Frank Hilton Organisation needs funding to continue providing its services to children, who are in dire need of medical care after its CEO, Sureni Perara, revealed that the organisation every year has a deficit of approximately $500,000 within its budget that it will need to raise by conducting fundraising activities.

Perara says they are committed to ensuring that every child that walks through their doors receives services in a timely manner.

She says the organisation is really thankful to the government for the continued support towards their patient division, where 70 percent of their budget which is provided by the government goes to the funding of two of their schools, the early intervention centre, and also the residential care facility.

The CEO adds that 30 percent of their budget, which is being fundraised, goes to ensuring that they have the capacity, the staffing and the resources to conduct their programs such as outreach services.

She also highlighted that every day, families are coming to them with at least one new case, and it's growing.

The Frank Hilton Organisation is organising a wheelbarrow race, known as the Bara Battle, that will be held on the 29th of next month at Albert Park, Suva.

The target of this fundraising is $150,000, where the funds collected will contribute to the procurement of essential assisting devices such as pediatric wheelchairs and hearing aids, empowering children with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.

This is the 7th Amazing Wheelbarrow Race.

Frank Hilton Organisation will also be appearing on fijivillage Straight Talk with Vijay next Wednesday.
