We will work together to upgrade our shores, minimise the effect of climate change and develop Savusavu to be the first Blue Town ever in the world.
These were the comments made by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka during his Talanoa session with the people of Savusavu and the villagers of Navatu during his visit to the North.
Rabuka says his family members earlier asked him if they could sell their property, but he insisted and told them that better days for them are coming, all they need is to wait for their hard work to bear fruit.
He says their fruit of success will bring high value to their land and whatever belongs to them.
He adds with every struggle they face, they should motivate themselves by the saying by their elders saying that their Vunidawa village does not give up easily.
The leader of the Government says every hard work they do to develop their family and their land, will pay off soon, not today, but to their future generation.
Rabuka urges the elders of Vunidawa to lead their people to a better future so that the future generation will also taste the achievement made by the leaders of today.
